Hello everyone!

The 18. Doktorand:innentreffen der Stochastik will take place 21.08. - 23.08.23 (Monday-Wednesday) at the University of Heidelberg. This annual meeting is organised by and for doctoral students in the fields of probability theory and statistics and will be held in Heidelberg for the first time this year.
We offer doctoral students a platform to present their research areas and results, gain insights into other interesting research areas in their field, and exchange ideas with others.
The organisers Bianca Neubert, Ricardo Blum, Henning Stein and Maximilian Siebel look forward to meeting you at University of Heidelberg!
Please note that the number of participants is limited and registration is required.

Venue

The conference will take place in the conference room, 5th floor in the Mathematikon at University of Heidelberg which is located in the campus Im Neuenheimer Feld. A map of the university area can be found here. On the map, it is building 6205.
If you take the tram, you should use the stop Bunsengymnasium. From there you cannot miss the building.

The conference

The conference is free of charge and we will provide accommodation and meals (exluding the Conference Dinner). Travel to the conference must be organised and paid privately. During the conference, participants will have the opportunity to give a 20-minute presentation on their research. There will also be some networking events hosted by the organisers.

Traveling to Heidelberg

Heidelberg can be easily reached by train, see Deutsche Bahn, or by FlixBus.
Traveling by plane is rather difficult as it takes 1h to 2h to travel by train from the nearest airports. Here are a few Frankfurt Airport, Hahn Airport, Baden Airpark.

Conference dinner

The conference dinner takes place at the restaurant Urban Kitchen on Tuesday evening. The dinner must be paid privately at the location. More information will be published soon.
